The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Volleyball Association has selected a nine-member team to represent the country in the ECVA Under 21 Male Zonal Championship scheduled for Antigua from 28th to 2nd September 2019. 

The team which travelled to Antigua today comprises Jamaar Crooper (Captain), Shemor Baynes, Ezra Browne, Shadron Delpesche, Lancelot Charles, Kaif Fraser, Kyle Liverpool, Enrico Louraine and Marques Thomas. The team’s Head Coach is Vance Andrews and Assistant Coach Daryl Franklyn. 

In preparation for the tournament, the team has received additional training over the last two weeks, from Mr. Francisco Cruz Jimenez, Trinidad national coach, currently in St. Vincent for three months as part of the FIVB Sports Development – Coaching Support Project. 

St. Vincent and the Grenadines is the defending champion and will come up against Antigua and Barbuda, St. Lucia and St. Kitts and Nevis. The team plays its first game on Thursday 19th at the YMCA, St. Johns. 

The association takes this opportunity to thank the St. Vincent and the Grenadines National Olympic Committee (SVGOC) for their assistance in participating in this competition.
